  • Integration Exercises

This week we are recoding your identity by having you explore identification at four different levels – at the level of self, family, community/industry, and humanity.  At each of these levels you’ll notice an entirely different set of fears, motivations, focus, experience, and resources.

    1.  Powerful Partner Ecosystem Exercise:  Create a list of between 3 – 5 potential partners for your particular project and write down each of their biggest concerns and what aspects of the system they are in they are paying attention to most.  Use the mind mapping tool to look at the interconnections between them, their concerns, and what they are paying attention to.   Start to look at all the ways a person could influence that system and how that influence would affect all the other aspects of the system.  Find the one where a small amount of influence will have a big impact – the leverage point.  Align behind influencing that one leverage point and you are very likely to find yourself aligned with that partner.  Determine what steps you will take to align there.

    2.  Identification Matrix:  In this integration exercise in Video 7, we walk you through identifying at each of the four levels (self, family, community/industry, and humanity) identifying 1-3 words that describe your fears, motivations, focus, primary experience, and resources at that particular level.  Allow this integration exercise to anchor in the experience of identification at each level.

    3.  Personal Identity Journal:  For 7 days at the end of each day spend 5-10 minutes reflecting on your day writing down your primary fears, motivations, focus, experience, and resources.  Look at which level best describes where you were predominantly identified that day based on your responses and what level of identification would have been the most useful.  Ask yourself ‘if I had an ideal outcome….who benefits?’ to help you know where you are identified.  Then at the end of the 7 days review your entries looking for patterns.

  • Self Reflections

Reflections exercises are one or more questions that we’d like you to be in deep consideration of for the entire week.  These are meant to be shared with your family, friends, and community so that they can offer you a more complete 360 view of yourself, your identity, and your reality.

Everyone has blind spots.  These are areas where we are less developed that are outside our view.  Getting reflections will point out things that you might not ever know yourself.

In addition, the more you consider these reflection questions the more likely you’ll be able to break through your current level of thinking and use the exercises to leap frog into a new level of consciousness.

These questions will be posted on the Recode Facebook Forum where they are meant to be responded to by you from week to week.  Here are this weeks reflection exercises:

    1. How was your level of identification helping you be successful in the past?
    2. How was your level of identification gotten in your way in the past?
    3. What level of identification has become most prominent for you this week?
    4. What level of identification would be most useful for me to work on next and why?
