Click the audio below to listen to the masterclass or download it to your device from the DOWNLOADS section below so you can listen on the go. Each training contains Implementation Exercises and Reflection Questions to help you put this material into practice. You’ll find the Transcript, Exercises, and Worksheets below.
In order to package your facilitation you’ll need to begin by doing these 4 things:
STEP 1 – ARTICULATE YOUR PURPOSE:
Articulate the purpose of your facilitation, it’s greater mission in a compelling way. If you are teaching the RECODE material you can use the example copy from the video and found in the workbook. If you are using this training to develop your own content then write your answers to these three questions in the Facilitator Training 1 Workbook below.
1) Why this?
2) Why me?
3) Why now?
STEP 2 – IDENTIFY YOUR PRODUCT MIX:
Begin to define multiple ways people can engage with you and your offerings. An optimized product mix will generally contain at least 1 offer from the 4 categories below. These products should then be placed in an ascension model (see diagram) which forms the path your clients can take to interact with you.
– An Introductory Product: Free resources, free events, small low cost programs
– A Core Product: Paid group programs, online trainings, group coaching
– Additional Services: Upsells, downsells, Continuity Products, Additional Services & Point Solutions
– A High-End Offer: 1:on:1 Coaching, High level masterminds, done for you services

STEP 3 – CREATE A CLEAR AND COMPELLING OFFER:
Develop a clear and compelling offer to participate with you answering the 4 P’s:
#1 People: This is both who you are and who your target audience is?
#2 Promise: This is what they will be getting out of participating with you
#3 Process: This is the format, structure, and logistics of how to participate
#4 Price: This is the investment in time and money you’d like them to make
Implementation Exercises
The key to getting value from any endeavor resides in your willingness to integrate what you are learning and implement it in your life. All new thought and new ideas are useless unless we act upon them. The same is true in this course. If your goal is to be the kind of person that catalyzes change for others it will require you to step just outside of what’s known and what’s comfortable to act as you breathe and accept the challenges that lie before you.
“You can’t cross a sea by merely staring into the water.” — Rabindranath Tagore
As you begin to create a monetizable business around your speaking and facilitation or even if you plan to offer group facilitation for free to the people in your network, it’s important to begin by defining what it is that you offer(s). A clear and compelling offer explains the 4 P’s – People, Promise, Process, and Price. Complete the exercises below to build clear and compelling offers for your facilitation.1. Articulate Your Purpose
Either using what we articulated in the training#1 video and transcript OR your own words, or a combination of the two, write down the purpose behind why you are doing facilitation answering: Why this? Why me? Why now?.
2. Identify Your Product Mix:
Using the blank ascension model diagram in the Recode Facilitator Workbook, identify the introductory products, core products, additional offers, and high-end offer that you will make available to those who engage with you. Remember it’s okay to leave some blank and just start with your core product and develop products in the future to fill out an optimized product mix which will eventually have a product in each category.
3. Building Your Core Product Offer:
Using the worksheet provided below, fill in the 4 P’s for your core offer articulating the People (both who you are and who your audience is), the Promise (how they will benefit and why it’s relevant to them), Process (the format, structure and logistics they need to understand how to participate), and the Price (how much they will be investing in either time, money or both).
4. OPTIONAL Exercise – Building Your Introductory Offer:It’s important to create an optimized product mix if you are wanting to grow your audience and monetize your facilitation. Create an offer for an introductory product articulating the 4 P’s like you did above but this time for the introductory product which might be a free resource, a free event, or a small low priced program.
5. OPTIONAL Exercises – Building Your High-End Offer:If you are compelling as a facilitator and speaker there will be people in your audience that are willing to pay for more access to you. We recommend that you create a high-end offer that’s 5x-10x more expensive than your core offer that includes a lot more access. High-end offers could include things like 1:on:1 coaching or consulting, high level group masterminds, done for you services. As a bonus create your high-end offer using the 4 P’s from above.
Self Reflections
Reflections exercises are one or more questions that we’d like you to be in deep consideration of for the entire week. These are meant to be shared with your family, friends, and community so that they can offer you a more complete 360 view of yourself, your identity, and your reality.
Everyone has blind spots. These are areas where we are less developed that are outside our view. Getting reflections will point out things that you might not ever know yourself.
In addition, the more you consider these reflection questions the more likely you’ll be able to break through your current level of thinking and use the exercises to leap frog into a new level of consciousness.
Here is this weeks self reflection question.
1) What is the mission or purpose of your facilitation? Answer the following 3 questions as you articulate your purpose: Why this? Why me? Why now?
2) Share your mission and purpose with your friends, family and on the Recode Forum. Remember it’s critical that people begin identifying you as the kind of person that catalyzes change for others.
